Story of our surf school

Olá! Pura Vida Surfing School was founded by Bernardo Paiva, a surfer from Porto who has spent most of his life in the ocean. Surfing has always been more than a sport — it is a way of living, a connection with nature and a source of freedom.

After many years surfing the waves of northern Portugal, Bernardo created Pura Vida to share this passion with others. What started as a small local project quickly grew into a welcoming surf school in Porto where people from all over the world come to learn how to surf.

More than just a lesson, we create a real surfing experience where you can connect with the ocean, meet new people, and embrace the famous Pura Vida lifestyle.
